Built in 1880 as a community gathering place, the Grand Hall has been completely renovated and is once again open to host special events and gatherings. Located just 25 minutes south of the Mall of America, we offer medium sized groups a beautiful space to celebrate special occasions and get-togethers.
Ammenities include: Free parking, handicap access, air conditioning and guest accommodations in nearby Northfield, Apple Valley and Lakeville. This space is a rare find for anyone looking for something extra special within the metro area.

    General Information
    Size: 2,800 square feet open space, Ballroom 60ft x 44ft

    Accommodations: Up to 187 people including catering staff and entertainers.

    Entrance: 217 Oak Street and 213 Oak Street elevator access.

    Free Parking: Street parking and a public lot one block west are available.

    Time: Event and music to end by 12:00am. Building cleaned and vacated by 1:00am.

    Extras: Choose your own caterer(must be licensed and insured) or bring your own food.


    Rental Information

    Reservations:  
    We encourage early reservations to ensure availability but last minute bookings are welcome. A 50% non-refundable down payment of the room rental is requested to reserve an event date, and the balance is due one month prior to the event date. If the event is cancelled, 75% will be refunded with at least 61 days prior to the event notice. 50% will be refunded with at least 31 days prior to the event notice. No refund will be issued with less than 31 days notice, prior to the event.

    Cleaning/Security Deposit: $300 refundable damage deposit is due one month prior to the event.

    Miscellaneous Charges: At least one representative of the Grand Hall must be on premises during the event. The cost is $15-20 per hour. The fee for professional security guards is $275 each. The number of personnel required is determined by the specific needs of each individual event.

    Rental includes:
  • Five 60" round tables (seats 8)
  • Ten 8' banquet tables (seats 8-10)
  • Brown folding chairs
  • Metal folding chairs (variety)
  • Up to $200 credit toward chair rental at Crown Rental (with Saturday and Friday evening rentals only).

    Additional tables, seating, table linens, napkins, place settings, etc., are the responsibility of the renting party.
    For your convenience, Grand Hall rents table linens and we use Crown Rental for all other rental needs.
    Ballroom set-up can be done during regular business hours upon prior approval. Special arrangements can be made during non-business hours for an additional fee.

    Event Details and Planning    

    Food and Beverage Service
    Grand Hall does not have a kitchen or liquor license. We do not have restrictions on food service. You may bring your own food, choose your own caterer or use one of our recommendations. All liquor must be served by a licensed and insured beverage service. Please note: We do charge a fee for the use and clean up of our staging area (fitness studio), if needed.

    Sound and Lights
    We have a sound system and special lighting available for an extra charge or you may bring your own entertainment. Live music welcome.

    Table Linens    $5.00 per Tablecloth and Linen Napkins .50 each

    Tablecloth sizes: (more upon request)
  • 53x114 Banquet tables (8 ft) seats 8-10 people
